I am a Canadian competition and advertising lawyer with significant experience counseling companies, associations, agencies, governments and other organizations on the application of Canadian competition and advertising laws. My practice experience includes working at some of the leading business law firms in Toronto (Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg), Vancouver (Lang Michener, now McMillan) and London, UK (Linklaters). I also served as in-house competition counsel for The Canadian Real Estate Association in Ottawa, one of Canada’s largest associations.
My academic experience includes four years as adjunct professor of competition law at the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Law and publishing widely in the competition law area. I am a frequent speaker at industry events and regularly contacted by the media for views on Canadian competition law and policy matters.

I practice primarily federal law, as well as Ontario law. As such, I frequently act for companies, associations, not-for-profit organizations, governments and individuals across Canada. Over the past 15 years I have provided competition, advertising and regulatory law advice to clients in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, the Maritimes and US clients seeking Canadian legal advice.
